Frequently asked questions

Are your Santiago and Valparaíso tours in English?

Yes. Our guides and drivers speak English, and we also run tours in Spanish and Portuguese. Tell us your language when you message us.

How much do the tours cost?

Private small-group tours start at US$250 per group for cruise port transfers and go up to US$350 per group for winery tours with entrance and tasting included, for 1-2 guests, depending on the tour. Prices rise in steps of 2 guests (1-2, 3-4, and so on) up to 16 guests, so larger groups pay less per person. The final price depends on the tour, the size of your group and where we pick you up. For a shared seat, message us and we will send the current rate per person.

What is the difference between a private and a shared tour?

On a private tour the vehicle and guide are only for your group, and you can adjust the pace and stops. A shared tour is a small group with other travelers on a set route. Shared departures depend on dates and available seats, and we confirm by email.

Can you pick us up at the cruise terminal in Valparaíso or San Antonio?

Yes. We offer transfers from both ports to your hotel in Santiago, and from your Santiago hotel to the Valparaíso terminal. We plan the timing from your all-aboard time. Send us your ship name, arrival time and all-aboard time and we will quote the transfer.

Can you design a tour that is not on your list?

Yes. Tell us what you want to see, your dates and how many people are traveling, and we will send a custom itinerary and price by email.

How far is Valparaíso from Santiago?

Valparaíso is about 120 km from Santiago, roughly 1.5 to 2 hours each way depending on traffic. That is why most visitors book a full day for Valparaíso, Viña del Mar and the Casablanca Valley.

When is the best time to visit Chile for these tours?

Santiago and the coast are pleasant most of the year. Summer, from December to February, is warm and dry. The grape harvest in the wine valleys usually runs from about February to April. Mountain access in the Cajón del Maipo, including Embalse El Yeso, depends on the season and snow, so we confirm before departure.

How do I book?

Send us an email to reservastourenchile@gmail.com with the tour, the date and the number of guests. We reply with availability and the final price. You do not need to pay online to make a request. We agree the deposit and balance with you by message, and we send your pickup time the evening before.
